That was the first time I got to run the car (the GS) on the strip. It didn't do well, and by the time I got home it was losing so much oil that we pulled the engine. Some of the bearings were like tin foil. I will never hear a bad word about Slick50 again
Put the new engine in it and took it back to York in 1991 or so (took the GN as well with my wife driving that) and York refused to let me run as it was a convertible. Bit of a bummer.

I was going to guess Tempest, I'm none too hot on Pontiac stuff, but wouldn't that Firebird be pretty rare over here? Don't recall ever seeing one with a "cammer", cool colour too, assuming it's green...

, sold back in 1990 to fund house purchase. Spoke recently to some guys who tell me they put a 4bbl from a Tempest. Ain`t been seen for a while now
on holiday in Wales (Llanberis, Snowdonia 1987)
