Just a little. John says it's now roughly in the same condition as he sees a lot of them once the crud and filler has been removed. Too much has been done to turn back and I'm dammed if I'm gonna give up. We are at the point now where it can only get better, (until John finds something else wrong)

You are lucky because where that car is right now is about the only place in the country that can correctly repair a Mopar in that state.
It will live again and it will look great. But, as you are finding, it is not the cheapest path to a good Mopar.
If you ever did this again I bet you would start with something you know is pretty solid to start with. It always works out cheaper if you can find a solid one.

At least you know it will be done right.
If you need a pick me up and have several hours spare to read it through (currently over 180 pages!) check out the mess this guy had. It really is quite unbelievable the further through you get.

BUT... it just goes to show what can be fixed by a proper bodyshop.

There sure is some work there,but you are in good hands.
How many people would have pugged that roof and stuck a vinyl over it?
Keep the progress reports coming,this is going to be interesting stuff.

Thanks for the support.
Most of the bad panels are being replaced.
I don't want a vinyl roof so it needs to be good and it's cheaper to buy a new skin than fix the damage on this one.
We could not have done this a year ago but now you can buy most parts.
One of the guys on our forum has re named it the Dodge Colander

Tanya, try not to worry too much, yeah it looks bad now but ask John for the pictures of Stuart Money's Mustang, before and after!!!! As has been said before and as we all know it is in THE best hands!!!
Just seen that year one are selling repro hoods, roof skins, front wings (inner and outer)

fantastic!!! None of that was available when mine was being done in 2005!!!!

Blimey. That is a scary looking shell. And pretty much the reason I dont wanna know what under the paint on mine...
Very brave. But you seem to be in the best hands, and at least you know EXACTLY what you have.

You got no worries Tanya, However bad it is, John will sort it. Just think of what it will look like done. Phil is right about stuarts car, probably the worst i have seen (other than the secret project in the corner

)
I can't get down tomorrow and possibly not next sat but I cant wait to come n see it. You will end up with a fantastic, sharp, solid car when its done.

Well 1 week and a day down the line and it's starting to take shape again. When Andy go back on Monday he started the process of putting it all back together again so here are the latest photos. There are loads of little fiddly bits that he needs to do so they are the really time consuming costly bits. We have a final shopping list done and hopefully will have the order sorted and paid for by the beginning of next week. John gave us the challenge of finding the little "hockey stick" bits that go at the very very rear of the quarters, (sort of end cap thingies) and I've managed to find them on Pascal's site but he's away at the moment. The door need a little work but not too drastic.
