Fitted the exhaust manifolds tonight and apart from sourcing the Breathers and a Bypass Hose I think the engine is finished.
Still have to route oil and fuel lines but I'll leave that till I'm ready to try firing it up. Going have a look at cleaning up the transmission next.

Last night I decided to take a look at the transmission, took me an hour and a half to strip it down. Maybe there was no need to fully strip but after doing what we have to it so far it feels like the right thing to do.
Although when last on the road it drove fine it did have a fluid leak and would slip when the level dropped, so after mopping the spillages from yesterday and a bench tidy the Clutch baskets were stripped for a look.

i know nout about 727s but if that was a lambretta clutch pack id have a new set steeping in trans fluid waiting to go in......

I'm just hoping for reliability Dave, once done I'd like to enjoy the drive without too many teething problems.

i know nothing....but the friction surfaces did look a little elderly

Rebuild kit with new plates along with a sprag, kick down band and shift improvement kit ordered this morning. Should be with me end of next week so hopefully get the casings cleaned up this weekend.

Good move, that's all you really need to do to freshen it up.

You have come a long way in a few short years, soon enough you will be driving it, keep it up,in the end it is worth it
