That pic of Kevs burnout(# 2652)is the dogs.It looks as if there is no-one driving cause the smoke covers the screen on the off side and where you would expect to see a driver in a "yank" there is nothing.I reckon thats one to blow up & frame Kev.
Terrys missus was looking a bit rough on the Sunday I thought.(Terry with the gold-ish Duster that is)
Shame Euro dragster were only there on the Sunday cause they missed the best launches of the weekend.I still cant believe the commentators did not question why a car running mid nines was only doing 95MPH through the traps. For those who were not there Duncans 70 Challenger was built in the states as a 1/8th mile drag car, meaning it has 5.38 gears in the rear.designed to be flat out at the 660 yard point,(which he did in 5.4 secs) he then coastd over the last 1/8 at 95MPH.having hit 7200 RPM just as he passed the 1/8 marker(2 speed Powerglide box)Now he has proved the car will do what the builder said it would he is going to change the rear end for more top end. That will be something to see.
I was going to go tell the commentators some facts for the Sunday but Dunc burst a slick and was on the transporter all day.Stil cant believe they never twigged, they just kept saying this cars faster rhan the last run,its getting better.Watch this space guys. Also big respect to Duncs mate with the race 68 Charger(white) who ran mid 11s and has never driven a yank before on the road never mind the strip!!!!
