Just in case you thought you were doing something wrong with the way you had the brakes mounted before....
Mopars came with those slider brakes mounted forwards originally. So you were correct to try them that way the first time. It was just that you were trying to fit a 70s design on a 60s car. That is why you had bother.
The flexy brake line routing is better when mounted at the rear though.

New battery and negative lead means I can do this
First time I've had electricity since I fitted the headlights.
Next is cutting and fitting new ignition leads, popping in some new spark plugs and finishing the brake fittings. Once I get the engine fired up and running ok again then I can tackle my steering pump adjustment, combined with getting the brakes master cylinder bench bled and connected there's nothing actually stopping me going for my MOT.
Watch this space.

The car got out of the garage under it's own power today. Brakes bled successfully and stop the car, also ran it up the hill next to my house and the kickdown worked. Never driven it fast enough to have it change gears on me(!) Great stuff.
Fitted a new Lokar throttle cable aswell. Just got to adjust me power steering pump so that my wheels don't turn to the left every time I let go of the steering wheel.
Then throw the seats back in and on paper at least I'm ready for an MOT
Pictures when there's something to post. I tried to take a photo on my phone of my neighbour who stuck her head out to see 'what all the noise was' but I was having to much fun/trouble steering. Big grin on my face.

Well, after a massive amount of hassle, welding and help from the board (cheers Dave, DaveB and Derek) I have finally got power steering in a straight line, well, almost straight(!)
Got to wire up my hood indicators and other little but MOT essential electrics such as: windscreen washers, horn, reverse lights etc... then I should be all set.
I still have a bit more Dynamat to throw down before I rebuild the interior but I don't need carpet for an MOT
More posts/pics as and when.

Thinking of getting an exhaust system from these guys http://www.ttiexhaust.com/ as they come with Dynomax Super Turbo Mufflers which I'm lead to believe from other threads is the way to go.
My headers are 3" at the pipe end so I guess I should go for the 3" system B30HWM6870? Still researching though
it would be about £400 plus shipping so I want to get it right.
Waiting for Neil to finish my new distributor and get that fitted to (hopefully) solve my timing/overheating problem and send me a harness to complete my electronic igniton.
Then Wednesday I am popping down to Leeds to meet Gerry ('66 Coronet) and collect my new heater unit.
