Sorry Guys when i bought the car from Blue He said he had a small problem with the oil Pump it caught whilst out on a short drive he stopped immediately he felt that nothing serious had occurred but Blue being Blue felt I would be better to look at it sooner rather than later so I had the pump off last Monday and there is minor Damage to the rotor face so took it to work to reface it get it back on asap and checked over also got the open header extensions finished bought some C12 at the Pod last Sunday so hopefully ready for Shakespeare end of May cheers Gibbo.

Had a great day down garage today, managed to snap a bleed nipple off in one of the back slave cylinders, what a pain in the butt, but my Bro Nick got it out :thumbright: Also fitted a new Master cylinder and brake lines, had to modify the push rod a bit, and will have to modify the brake light switch, but the pedal feels fantastic for the first time ever :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright:

No playing with the garage today, so was able to play cars for a nice rest :)

Wasn't mine either, but still enjoyable & was a nice break.

Back on the garage next week in the evenings & week ends, still at least all watertight now, so only internal stuff.

no more ' humping big lumps' :wav:

spent saturday re connecting up exhaust and firing up car for second time with new carbs

revs well
sounds mainly good

made up throttle return bracket and spring
fitted balnking plugs for booster drilling
put in vaccum pipes on carbs for balancing

lots of clicking and farting

exhaust manifold leak
inlet leek

exhaust joint leak

took it all off again

re did exhaust after wire brushing off all old paste and rust

new past
new clamps

new inlet/exhaust gasket

fed up

went for a beer.....

the week will involve the slow process of remounting exhaust and inlet
each nut and washer takes about 15 minutes

3 or 4 an evening

need it up and running this week
wife is away next so little work will be done
want to go to tunnel run/chelsea

looking unlikly at the mo.
