That's where I recall seeing it, up for sale at the Swap Meet a few years back. Sounded great being fired up on the trailer.

yes, the fenderwell headers i made sure were loud
today i had a tidy up in the garage, uncovered the car from under all the crap that had been stacked over it and had a swap round. i had to move the 2 mercs, get it out, put the merc estate inside and the valiant and scrap merc back on the drive. the scrap one's going wednesday so i'll have a bit more room but at least i can use the valiant now
it's amazing the difference a set of wheels makes to a car

yes you're right, i want to fit a straight tube front axle like my anglia had. but..... it'd put me outside the 8 points rule and i want to keep the registration now i've got it and not have to go through a biva test.
i could use the 383 b block and auto i've been offered and turbo that. being a stock factory option i'd keep those 3 points and 2 for the steering box so with the unibody i'd have 10 points so could swap the axles and suspension. mmmmm....................

Doh. I forgot about the points system bit !!!!
I’m sure you’ll get around it somehow, and create a beast !!!
Good luck and keep us all posted

today's update is i've had a reality check and decided to fit the 383 mopar big block i've been offered to make the valiant a nice quick road car instead of the nutter turbo 383 chevy motor that if i'm honest i'll only race 2-3 times a year anyway. so all the chevy and turbo stuff is for sale.

Wise decision, and you will find a BB is still a bit of a squeeze!
