Started toget to grips with jobs on the Fury over the weekend.
Moved the washer fluid bag off the bulkhead ond onto the radiator support and extended the wiring.
Connected the earths for the MSD and start/retard boxes (How did they work without them?)
Massively improved the brake feel by filling both portions of the master cylinder and bleeding the brakes ! Guess what the line-lock works now too!
I'm still finding stuff to scare me but we should be ready for Gary's Picnic

Work has stopped on the Challenger to get the Charger back on the road. Better front wings to go on, but you always find something when you pull it apart, so welding inner wing tops, and swapping over welded in headlight pods.
Just about to take the wings and pods to the blasters to get 37 yrs of rust off where they were never painted.

himike jones wrote:Dunc, thats right it's Pats old car, I believe you rebuilt the box, any trick bits in there or just a straight rebuild ? I also know Dave B. freshened up the engine but i have no other history apart from seeing it in burnout contests and Budgie importing it.
i dont remember doing the box on this fury, but i may have. if it had some trick parts i remember so i would say pretty stock with manual v body,

All car work is on hold at the moment as I'm building an in and out drive, which consists of two drives, one to each garage and a path up the side of the house.
I've shifted ten tons of top soil and filled in the lake at the top of the garden and I'm now battling through the other ten tons of hardcore that was buried under the lawn...place looks like a bomb'Bananarama! it and I wish I'd just paid the builders thirteen and a half grand they quoted to build it...but I've started so I'll finish!

My easter hols were similarly car free, 2 re laid patios, lots of new border edging stones, new gates, repainted fences, a section of driveway to be done this week, and Oh, we have run out of money for the car port
At least it is back on with the cars now..

Loads of hard graft Ivor & few aches & pains along the way, but you can do a lot of other things for £13.5kIvor wrote:I've shifted ten tons of top soil and filled in the lake at the top of the garden and I'm now battling through the other ten tons of hardcore that was buried under the lawn...place looks like a bomb'Bananarama! it and I wish I'd just paid the builders thirteen and a half grand they quoted to build it...but I've started so I'll finish!

The Greater Knapweed near the Mugwort by the Buckthorn tree is dying
The wings are off Steve's Vh wagon, bit of tin worm but not much, one is repaired and on, other waiting for my day off.
Triangular bits I am missing, and paint wont go on straight away, so if you have then Brooklands would be good.
