Did I mention this before? I read elsewhere that there was a bootleg of Van Halen's set when we saw them supporting Sabbath at Hammersmith in 78; their first UK tour. So I checked to see if it was on YouTube and thank the lord....
I remember being blown away by them at the time - this was the first time we'd heard most of the tracks (didn't buy the album till a week later). Thankfully this is one of their more coherent performances - they could be a bit shambolic live
