Cool, any from the side and back of the pump?

Nothing to see Pete , the two oil feeds on the base of pump (oil filter plate) have been plugged.

No problem with drain back , motor was sitting for 3 weeks & she primed up on the starter motor.

If you're spinning the motor to 8k then a twin oiling system will be in order , this set up works for me ,will also monitor oil pressures too , maybe the guinea pig motor.

Sorry to whine on about the oiling.

Please can you clarify if point "C" below fits to point "A".

If this is the case, what is happening at point "B" or is this blocked off?

Thanks.

Sorry chaps

Point 'A' connects to point 'C' , 'B' being capped off , this puts the oil on top of pump , hence the oil can't possibly syphon/drain back to sump , whichever way the line is routed.

The oil feed in the sandwich plate is 1/2" @ it's smallest 9/16th @ it's largest , the oil line from pickup to pump is also 1/2" @ it's smallest (fittings) , oilways in the oil pump are no bigger than 1/2" if that , the standard pickup tube in block is 3/8th or 1/2" if using internal pickup , so this sandwich plate is plenty big enough for the external oiling system when using single oiling.

Most battery drills won't/can't spin the pump fast enough to prime the oil , unless you got an electric drill you got a problem @ the track , i had to find an alternative , priming the oil can be a PITA.

I now see, grasshopper :thumbright:

Did you mode that plate, or did you buy it like it?

I have a couple of spare pumps, but I don't think they are set up like that (yet).... :read2:

The plate is used when utilizing twin oiling (milodon site) , but you'll also have to order a longer oil pump drive. otherwise it's gonna be too short.
