Following a good old waffle down the pub about this, Blue recommended the following site: http://www.wallaceracing.com/0-60_equation.php

When I got home I reached for my cherished "9 second" timing slip and stuck in the data.

It turns out that Julie's Dart ran the equivalent of a 0 - 60 time of 1.94 seconds

I appreciate that 0-60 is only good for timing noncey little cars like Ferraris and the like, but it was still quite an eye-opener.....

Have a play and post your own 0-60 times. I bet the AMX will be a laugh....

0-60mph = 3.33 seconds.

60ft is a poor 1.78. :( Must do better.

Is the car full weight? If so I guess that 1.8 is good.

Near enough full weight, glass hood and bumpers, but other than that its relativly standard, 2.2 60ft and couldnt get better no matter what! but picked up at 1/8th, 102 through line.

With that sort of mph Mo I would stick with the 4.10s. What stall converter and what duration cam are you using? You need a converter that will flash up to a high enough rpm.

Think the verter is 3k stall but not sure, cam is a 509 purple cam, but again not sure, car seems to pull real strong at 4200, revving to 6k.
Will i lose the top speed with 4.10's?
Is it possible that the carb is causing probs, holley 750 VS i think.

Sorry for hijacking the thread, i think i'll open a fresh thread.
