Jungle Jem's winter refit.
Finally got started this week, I've been busy! Moved the rear springs in with a Mopar Performance kit. It's not too bad apart from the box being wider than the spring bush, meaning a spacer has to be made. The new perches are drilled bigger than the spring pin as well Still this is aftermarket stuff you did'nt expect it to work straight out of the box did you?. Axle case has gone off to Hausers to have 5 inches lopped out of it, a back brace fitted and new Strange half shafts.

New engine, well my old engine with an external period '60's makeover. Chucked in a super holeshot convertor as well while we were at it...

I've just got to say how sincerely grateful I am for all the hard graft that Blue has put into the Ratster. I've got 100% commitment, enthusiasm and vision of what I want, but unfortunately nothing like the kind of skills he has. I'm very much a perfectionist and I'm glad to say that Blue is of the same ilk - If it's not right, it don't happen!
When it's finished, I think the Ratster will look awesome and as near to perfect as the vision I started out with when I first bought it. I've had more fun with this thing than I ever did with the Hemi Charger and the 440 R/T put together. The show 'n' shine thing was great, but hey, it sure don't beat the thrill of bangin' on down a drag strip - it just doesn't compare!!
Rock on!!
