hay thats looking alot better compared to last time i saw it,if i remember correctly there was no paint,there was certainly no viynle [or was there] etc good work mate :thumbright:

eeerrr so some of you remember ,the thread with 10 g for paint , where s the joker now .not bad a for frist full car paint job , all done for under a bag of sand :lol:

Don't forget to seal the roof before you stick the vinyl roof on.

hello plymouth ,was going to get vinyl put on by some one but looks like iam going to do it myself now ,when you say seal roof ,what with ,i have painted roof in a gloss ,was going to stick stranght on top ,any info would be cool ,thanks

If it's got top coat on that should be OK as it's sealed the primmer. It looked like you had masked up the roof before the blue went on and it was still primmer. My mistake your doing a great job of the resto.

Some people have made the mistake and stuck the vinyl on primmer and it starts to rust, didn't want you to spoil all your hard work.

Who charges £10k for a paint job then? (Remember - JUST the paint job, that s not bare metalling and properly repairing all the crap body work first).

Looks good Andy, not only have you saved youself a load of cash, but now you know you'll be quite capable of repairing any damage to the paintwork in the future. In other words you can leave it parked up in the pub carpark without worrying too much. :D Well done mate.
