Don't forget to seal the roof before you stick the vinyl roof on.
10 out of 10 grand
.
hello plymouth ,was going to get vinyl put on by some one but looks like iam going to do it myself now ,when you say seal roof ,what with ,i have painted roof in a gloss ,was going to stick stranght on top ,any info would be cool ,thanks
If it's got top coat on that should be OK as it's sealed the primmer. It looked like you had masked up the roof before the blue went on and it was still primmer. My mistake your doing a great job of the resto.
Some people have made the mistake and stuck the vinyl on primmer and it starts to rust, didn't want you to spoil all your hard work.

Looks good Andy, not only have you saved youself a load of cash, but now you know you'll be quite capable of repairing any damage to the paintwork in the future. In other words you can leave it parked up in the pub carpark without worrying too much. Well done mate.
