Droop Snoot Vauxhaul Firenza

Post by Dart Vader »

Had a mate who had one in the late 80's, quick as you like, glove box is replaced by a grab handle to hang on to.

Loved the car

Late 70s my Boss had a Firenza built to rally spec (he used to rally at weekends) and knowing my interest in American muscle he used to take me out in it and try to scare the poo out of me.

The Vauxhall/Opel Manta was a pretty good car too. You could easily fit a chevy V8 in those too and they were monster. :D

I could see our old MMA stalwart Alex Doig wanting that one!

It's not an ex Gerry Marshall car is it?

Yep, Gerry Marshall raced the Stars and Stripes Manta in the 1989 Thundersaloon championship. Back then it had a 6.7 litre Pontiac engine I believe.

Well you must now Al Goldings Blue 8sec Firenza.
He has brought another one for street use. He has fitted a 383 with 727, should be fun :D

I remember Gerry Marshall driving, not sure about the Pontiac motor, not that I'm doubting about the motor, just can't remember

Ah, they were the days. All my money went on insurance for mine! That was without a Chevy V8 too.
