Things have changed a bit around here....
Just had the week from hell, my Dad died last Monday suddenly and unexpectedly. My Mum is 85 and not in the best of health, Dad pretty much had to do everything for her. I have very little family and none are local, so everything will be be down to me. The upshot is, between going to work and providing care, I will have very little time for anything else.
I will still try and do some gearbox work and a few odds and sods so don't be afraid to ask. I don't mess people about, so If I can do something in a reasonable time frame I will say yes, if I know I can't I'll have to decline. I'll know better in a few weeks time how things are going to pan out long term. It's all a bit of a bugger, but my Mum's welfare is my number one priority from now on.

So sorry to hear about your loss, been there myself, infact it is a year ago this weekend that I lost mine. COuld not have imagined the problems it caused, but with the support of my wife I have slowly been sorting things out. My Dad also did everything as far as running the house is concerned (up to the last couple of years that he was around then my wife and I had to do it all) so have had to really wet nurse my mum....As far as you not being up to helping people is concerned, the ones that matter will under stand... Just take your time and you will get there little by little. You may even end up with some spare time for yourself, altho I have to be honest I am not there yet!
