Thanks Pete, been a while since I did an airshow but this looks good.... last plane I saw was a Eurofighter at Silverstone doing loops etc right above us at the F1 three years or so ago....very impressive!

Saw a Spitfire on a trailer today on the M6 South near Birmingham. Was being towed by a Discovery and the plane looked really nice :thumbright:

This is one of the best days out of the year, get booked in early with your classic, they have to limit the numbers.
I am away that day so can't go, but have been several times before and loved it.

Thanks Pete, this was a great day out. Good weather, great air display (Vampire, Vulcan, Lancaster, B17, 2 P51s, wing walking, stonking aerobatic and loads of other stuff) over 300 show cars (can't my head around 60's Hillman Minx being a show car, but each to their own) good atmosphere and lots of money raised for charity. Brilliant!

I'll be there next year hopefully with my Bee.

Really good to meet up with you, and yes it was a cracking event; I think the Vulcan stole the show.

Looking forward to seeing the Bee - get some pictures up when you can!

Did you know, it took 13 refuelling planes to get that thing to the Falklands and back, and on the last refuel before it got there, the final tanker had to leave and return as if it had gone any further it would not have got back to its rendezvous point with another refuelling takenr that IT had to refuel from. And, at that point, the Vulcan pilot was given the option, go on and drop the bomb and you maky not make the next refuelling stop or, abort and come home. Trouble is, the Argies didnt think we could get there, and Maggie said we could and out of the two that left, only one made it.

Stoopid!
