On a Jap forum i go on occasionally....they have a sticky chart on wheel/tyre size combos....so you can choose the lightest set up for your car for Drag Racing / track day purposes
Is this something we could do on here...every little helps ??

Yes but a 295 on a wider wheel may not.
And if you are very lucky, your axle might even be almost centered under your car......

Hoosier do a 295 x 60 x 15; more tyre height for those high gears

...and as much depends on your spring combination as the wheel and tyre combo.
Dave is quite right. I tried ther same tyre on an 8 1/2" rim and a 10" rim.
Mounted on ther 8 1/2" rim it fitted with adequate clearance, on the 10" it did not......many variables and factors involved here - including good taste

I didn't like to say anything, it was nice that everybody was getting involved. I think Steve's original idea is a good one though. If we can start getting the data together I'll tidy up the thread?
