there was a nice Maverick on eBay recently which went for less than 4k
Still kicking myself for not buying it

What`s the theory ? ... keep intake runners shorter, individual runners get the same shot ???

Would they have had split dommies then???looks like they are ,,,or the old 4500 style dommies ,,,not sure,,,,

Look good

Instead of restricting the intake runners to the carb opening position, the runner positions are better optimised.
Was very common on the pro mod nitrous motors

Wilsons have been splitting the dommie since the late sixties, if you look at the length of the centre linkage I would def say they are split carbs

While on the subject of Mavericks,anyone remember this one from back in the day at the pod.... Gotta love an old pro stock ;)I am more than likely in the Barn somewhere ,stuffing me face full of bad food and warm beer

What that bit just behind the front wheel, it looks like its connected to the dizzy. The distributor appears to have two drives coming off of it, one I assume to a mechanical tach drive but what is the other

It's a moroso cable driven rev limiter Guy. Until MSD and the other electronics came out , that's what everyone used. I used to have one years ago, it didn't seem particularly accurate.
