Door lock linkage pic please

This is driving me insane
I'm sure I've put it together it right but it won't operate so must have got summat wrong.
If anyone has their door card off could you post a pic of inside of the drivers door please.
Any '66/7 B-bod should do

Had a look, the lock linkage bit isn't detailed enough unfortunately but the book's a really useful thing to have anyway, cheers!

D.B I have an origional 67 service manual. It has all the pictures I think you need. Pop around & take a look .

I Had all the locks out of my Coronet when it was painted but without trying to sound patronising, there wasn't that much to it. As far as i can remember, there's a little thin rod with a crank on it that slots into a hole on the plate behind the lock and connects to the release mechanism at the other end.

That's whats so frustrating Mick- I can't see any other way for it to go.
The barrel is keyed so that can only fit one way, the cam on the barrel I didn't even take off and I only disconnected one end of the rod!
It goes part way then runs out of travel, as if the rod has suddenly become too long!
I've decided the best solution is to ignore it for a few days. I'll go back to it after the weekend and I know it'll just fall into place

Ithink i pulled the rod through the hole in the door, fitted the lock onto the rod and then pushed the whole thing back in and put the clip on the back.
Have you checked to see if the rod is locking and unlocking the door and have you checked to see if the back of the lock is turning with the key ?
If both are doing what they should do, then it's just a case of putting them together.

The rod has a crank at the end, so you need the clip off the back of the lock, then you can move it as you slide the rod in... Ooh Missus.
