I'm amazed they put 318's in these, must feel really wheezy, and underpowered in stock trim!

I see you keep teasing yourself Steve! :D

A sweet 318 hauls my Truck around just fine, don't ignore these engines. Just don't confuse them for muscle.

225 /6 was indeed an option on base model taxi spec cars.

I always think of a 318 as one and a half Rover V8s..... Not too bad at all when you think what gets rung out of those lumps! 5.2 isnt a small engine really when you think about it, just the cars we like are heavy I suppose.

I would be more than happy with this car, cruise to the Pod and watch the monsters at play then cruise back :thumbright:

I had a 2 door 68 coronet with a 318 cu.in in that used to run 15 second quarters with 276 gears and I had a 4 door coronet with a 225 cu.in that I paid £69 for and I swapped with JC for a set of 8 1/2 ET wheels

Commonly used in trucks too. You wouldn't go anywhere fast but then you don't buy a C body for speed either.
