Had no real work for over three years now so all the engine bits I have accumulated over the years I thought it was time I built the engine.
Just a big thank you to Pete Rivers for letting me used his workshop, Anton for the missing bolts and Duncan for the oil slinger. Still not finished but after all years of waiting I could not wait any longer to post some photo's

After all those years of waiting I would have thought you would have got the camera in focus - or do you need to check your bins???? ;)

Great work, Dave :thumbright: :thumbright:

Hi Pete it is a point and click camera but I don't think its much good.
Jon its standard heads and a mild cam don't have a lot of money will probably up the specs. latter but have the bodywork to do so I will spend my money on that.
The dodge you are right if it was a 340 I might have painted it the right colour
its just an air cleaner I had laying around.
Mossy 68 its a 408 cu.in. with ali heads and Edelbrock fuel injection its been full balanced, comp cams 478H Exreme energy cam and adjustable rockers so its quit a mild build

Very nice Dave - didn't know you were going fuel injection! :thumbright:
What system are you using?

BTW - 340's did go to blue colour during 1971 so not necessarily 'incorrect' if you cared..

just had a google of mopar engine colours and different years were different colours, apart from the hemi which was either street orange or race orange, i thought i read that the 340 being a performance engine was also only painted orange? but cant find anything about it
