For those in the North East thinking of going to Fins n Chrome on the 26th May.
You need to make sure you send an SAE (before May 10th) to the organiser for a site pass. Otherwise (we are told) Nissan security might not let you in. You also need to be on site before 9am.
I don't believe it myself. But I got a pass anyway just to avoid any hassle.

No, Dave aint pulling your leg Andy. It's also supposed to be a rule of not leaving the ground before 5pm with no exceptions.
From what I've heard there appears to be some confusion about where exactly it is this year, still not sure if it's at the actual Nissan factory site or at Nissan's sports centre which is apparently at another site.

Nissan sports and leisure complex which is just off the A19 (same turn off as the old air museum I think). I have a map. I understand it is a very good venue. Big bar and american themed food hall.
I wouldn't worry about the "no leaving before 5pm" rule. That is quite normal for most shows if you read the small print. Usually at most you just need a marshal to walk in front of your car if it is still busy with punters.
I strongly suspect that only a small percentage of the 350 expected cars will have a pass and I doubt very much they will be turned away. But it might cause delays at the gate so I got a pass as instructed.
Nissan security are new to this so we just have to let them learn. Remember they had half a dozen brand new unregistered 4x4 vehicles driven off site not long ago. You can understand them being a bit funny about security.

I'd forgotten about that, as you stated Dave, they need time to learn how these things work

Don't know if it's any good or not, never been. I didn't even know there was a museum there, worth a look though I would have thought.

If Billy Horn is still running that club I'll get you in. Nissan people could be the tricky bit.
I'll get on the case as soon as I get there around 08:30. Got to be that early because I am told it takes an hour to set up bunting and flags around a few Corvettes.
