Fitted the indicator switch, which was more time consuming than it looked at first, that works OK now hazards as well. But I now have another fault, what I think is a bad earth somewhere, back feeding the flasher unit and making the 2 rear lamps flash on there own. But I'm fed up now and have come indoors, I'll have a look tomorrow!Dave81 wrote:Dash cap looks to be mint (lucky find)!
Rest of it looks to be in great shape too!!

Hi, I found the 2 flasher units, 1 behind the speedo ect, and one by the glove box.I appears the one by the glove box is the circuit that is causing the prob , as when I disconnect it the 2 rear light stop flashing,I will look into this this evening.MilesnMiles wrote:Johny, there will be two flasher units. One for emergency flashers and one for indicators. One can work whilst the other one does not. I spent bloody hours chasing non working indicators!
Do check all earths at the rear of the car on the lighting circuit. From memory your live feed to rear indicators is either green or brown, black feeds the side/rear light etc..
Has it been converted to uk legal spec?
If not, I have posted a thread on how to do this elsewhere on this site, probably under ' engine, electrics etc'.
Thanks,MilesnMiles wrote:Here is the link for converting indicators to uk spec
