Urgent Request LSD Problem

I've just got my rebuilt pumpkin back, I rebuilt the clutch type SureGrip with a Mopar Performance kit. When doing sharp corners it's very jerky and banging. I have filled it with Kendall LSD oil. Do I also need the Chrysler additive? If so can someone bring a can to Shakey tomorrow as I've run out of time

If I keep on straight roads it should be alright 'til then..... I was out putting it in with me old motorbike waterproofs on, why do we leave everything so late.

Is there a Chrysler garage in Stratford?

TIA! 8)

Any LSD oil should do as far as I know. The stuff i use is for tractors and works fine.

That is what I would be trying Kev. With my fingers crossed that that is all it is.

Don't let it get too hot though. Bit at a time lad.

Just do it. But stop now and again to check the diff temp. If it is too hot to place your hand on let it cool before proceeding. With a bit of luck it will be OK by the time you get there. Touch wood. Fingers crossed.

I was told by Hausers that the additive (Torco Limited Slip Friction Modifier Type G) is vital for Suregrip use, and that is what Im using with EP90.
Warn you now though, I dont know the differences with the suregrips!

I've had a word here and there and apparently if you use LSD oil you don't need the additive..... Thanks for your PM offer though.

No worries Kev, but Hausers were insistent (sales patter?).
I even waited to do lube change until additive arrived.

Yeah but you need it with a standard oil, but I assume the Kendall LSD oil has a modifier. I used it in my old axle with no problems.

Guys. You just need LSD oil. No particular brand.
Usually once they have got hot a few times they settle down once cooled off and you don't have any bother again.
I have only come across this once before because I have not come across many re-built LSD units before.

I was definatley told you need additive with the recommended EP90 lube, and thinking back I did a bit of looking into it, was surprised myself.
Mind you, if you have been operating suregrips without this long, I guess that cant be the problem
Will it do any harm by adding some anyway?
