Not any more, the club wound up years ago. This is the nearest you are going to find, at least a couple of the original members are on here.

More than a couple of ex-members I think.
I owned one for 7 years in the 80s Sammy. My very first (working) car actually. It cost £500 (borrowed from bank of Mum) and was rotten.

The club wound up mid 90s, I was never a member as I didnt have my Charger back then, but i did meet a few of the members, and because of wearing the Aussie hat for the MMA I ended up with the old club sign which hangs proudly in my garage.
I have some of the old club mags as well, as I am sure Minty does.
As Blue says, the MMA is where it is at for Aussie Mopars over here, as they are few and far between, hence why your car's history is known to the club.

Aw that's a shame. When I saw two Chargers at the Mopars recently I thought maybe there are a lot more around than I realised. The guy I bought mine off said there were only 7 others in the UK but I thought it was just part of his sales pitch lol.
Its great that there is the MMA, I must say people have been very welcoming and helpful.

I look forward to meeting some of you along the way.

This is the biggest gathering of them ever outside Chelsea barracks. Few years ago now.
And the other pic is the Moparnats in 2003, mine is the red one.

There were two or three hundred sold new in the UK.
The main reason not many are around now is they rotted like crazy. Mine was only 10 years old when I bought it and I had to replace all the metal in the bottom 10 inches of the bodywork, patch the chassis and inner wheel wells, and replace the top 6 inches of each front wing.

There probably are only 7 on the road right now, but there will be others stashed away or abandoned but they will most likely be in very poor condition, they usually are.

All the meets were in the south so impossible for me in those days.

Hello, I put the list together in this thread (when I had some spare time over Christmas last year).
http://www.moparuk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=46046
Basically, I spent (too many!) some days searching on the internet for photos / references to any Aussie Chrysler Valiants (& variants). Once I had the photo, I checked it on the DVLA database to see if the car was live.
As of December 2013 - Jan. 2014, I found the following:
6 x VH & 3 x VJ Chargers on the road (9 in total).
4 x VH & 1 x VJ Chargers on sorn / project (5 in total).
As far as I can tell, that makes a total of 14 Chargers still around. No doubt there are a few more that have no internet footprint - barn finds, private owners that don't take them to shows, that sort of thing. But not too many, I suspect!
Rest of the list:
Since I did this list, I've had no time to update it but one more VF VIP has turned up in a barn, along with an S-Series. A couple of the cars on the list have also changed hands (such as yours!).
If you have the time, have a look, as the list has photos of almost all the cars above.

Thanks for all the info guys, really interesting, especially the thread with the list.Love the photos of all the Chargers together. I'll definitely be at the Mopars at the pod next year with it.
I seem to be lucky with the condition of mine. At the mot recently the tester had a good look under it etc and said its in good nick and the engine doesn't miss a beat. (When it starts lol).
