I have to say, as bikes go I don't really understand the appeal of that especially from a styling point of view, that engine looks like some sort of industrial generator to me

And this comes from a man whose car was designed by a man who only possessed a Ruler and a (blunt) pencil. You have no Soul.
It is a very rudimentary design that has evolved over the years and has its own unique Charm - Octane gets it (I had a 900ss Duc in the past).....
Each to their own.........it is certainly not the hyperspace buggy that Ade has, but then I would definitely kill myself on that...........
