Hello all, just like to introduce myself to mmauk. I picked up this little beast last year and have had a great summer with it. Looking forward to joining in on some club events this year.
I have a few things to do, namely sort out the front ride height. Anyone have any suggestions on how to go about it?
Also where do members go for servicing etc around the South Warwickshire/Oxfordshire area?
Rgds

Great looking car Dan!
Can't help with the ride height but can only guess the front shocks need adjusting.
Any more pics/info on the car?
Oh.........and, Welcome to the club!

Hi there, nice looker. Front is adjusted via torsion bar adjuster screws with weight off the wheels. Up inside lower arms.

Welcome to the club and the Message Board.
Great looking car!
You will find plenty of help and encouragement here.
As mentioned, you can lower (and raise) the front ride height by adjusting the pre-load on the Torsion bars. These are 3/4" Spanner bolts poking downwards out of the Lower Control Arms.
You should really take the weight off the front end before you adjust them to make sure you do not damage the threads, especially if they have not been touched in a long while.
I look forward to meeting you and seeing your ride at some of the MMA events this year

Nice car, looks very well sorted.
Assuming the torsion bar bolts are not too tight you can adjust that ride height in about 20 mins.
Just make sure you undo each bolt an equal amount and take measurements to ensure its even when back on the ground.
Once done, give the car a good bounce of the front end by pushing down on the front apron. Car will then settle down to the new ride height.
Don't go mad on the ride height as it will impact on other aspects of suspension and steering geometry. Or see Jim as he'll know what to do.
Welcome aboard.

Thanks all for your kind comments. I shall try and get under the car in the next few weeks if I'm allowed out of the kitchen (took it apart and apparently she wants it back together!)
I'm not going to slam it as I know the geometry will be all over the place, but I just need to get the rake going in the right direction. The rear is on air shocks, so I can raise that a bit more to get the right look.
