Not the nicest of ways to go either. Very sad. He was obviously in a dark place. Never really got their music but undoubtably talented and groundbreaking. Its been a bad 12 months

Jimi died September 1970 in London. Keith Emerson always respected as part of ELP and the Nice, another very fine talented keyboard innovator who's work still stands up today, they are indeed dropping like flies.........who is next?

Hey Dave you are a lucky man, I would have loved to have been at that concert at the Isle of White in 1970.

Hi toney did a few concerts at the time. Went to Bath (Shepton mallet) Led zep. Santana, Deep purple, Fairport Convention.
And the Weeley, The Oval, and Hyde Park concerts and a friend of mine worked at the New festival hall and he used to get us front row seats. Getting old to many groups to remember.
