shifting a race glide? tips required!!
I'm hoping to run my slingshot properly for the first time at Shakey this Sunday, and it has occurred to me that since I've only done a couple of short first gear blasts before engine problems emerged I don't really know what happens when I change gear
It's a Godley race glide, so is it simply a matter of keeping my foot in and shifting, or should I be easing off? My Dart would happily absorb full throttle manual shifts, but wondering if there's more to it in something a little more specialised!
If any of the real racers on here have any tips they'd be much appreciated

All you've got to do is keep it pointing the right way & hit the shifter once, or get an rpm activated shifter, if it doesn't feel right just let off return to the pits & check everything again, don't try to pedal it until you are familiar with the car.
You can't have too much power, only a lack of traction!
