Very nice indeed, Andy Rob will be all over that when he's back from Mecca (Bathurst).

I like that.
when I as looking at importing from Australia last year,it was a toss up between a Ford Falcon FPV V8, and the Holden Commodore SS.
I went for the Commodore in the end, but have been thinking of importing a Falcon FPV recently :help:

I would have to look it up, but I was very surprised that it was quite a bit cheaper than the 3 other motors I imported from the USA.
But it took 3 months to get here.

I've always wanted to bring over a car from Aus, but it's a totally new world to me so have no idea on where to start. I'd be interested in the costs from someone who has done it.

Easy.................

Find car you want on ebay.com.au, bid on car and win, make bank transfer to the seller, contact Hill Shipping with sellers details, pay Hill Shipping, sit back and wait 3 months. pick up car from Southampton :D

Ok Found the paperwork.
Shipping and Australian road haulage £1430 which was cheaper than USA , but the road haulage was massively move expensive, at £230 for about 30 miles, but that was included in the £1430.
My last 3 cars from USA cost between £1500 and £2000 shipping and road haulage, price is cheaper the closer to the port of export the car is picked up from.
Be awear that if you import a UTE or pickup its 22.5% import duty plus 20% VAT
Modern car is 10% duty 20% VAT
Old car 0% duty 5% VAT

Interesting about the ute thing. Does that apply to older utes as well then (I'm thinking of Valiants, so around 40 years plus).

I went really cheap £6800. If I didn't have so many projects, I'd have snapped that up. They are $15000 - $25000 AUS. Dollars in AUS
