'Hidden' radio aerial

Hi folks

Anyone know of a hidden car radio aerial that actually works well? Have found some cheap ones on eBay and Amazon but reviews are poor. Any advice gratefully received!

In my daily driver (04 corolla) i had one of those DAB radios installed, and they have this little aerial that sticks to the inside of your windscreen. Works wonders and i hooked one up to my Duster a while back. Pretty cheap too, i think it was something like £20 from halfrauds. Might be an adaptor out there that works for the older style radios like the original ones in mopars.

Don’t have an answer for that I’m afraid... I dont have an aerial fitted but I use my phone and stream digital radio and play through the head unit...

As a side note that may be interesting for anyone wanting DAB in their classic:
I’ve had a headunit with digital radio fitted in my daily for a year or so but didn’t use the DAB as I didn’t like the window sticky aerials... that seemed to be the only aftermarket way to get it to work..... a week so ago I saw a little box of tricks on eBay that uses your regular (non amplified) aerial and allows that to receive DAB and FM etc. Only £16 and it works brilliantly!

You can get one that's semi hidden, think halfrauds sell them. Little box of tricks with two arms extending outwards ( one either side of the box ). Sticks to the inside of the windscreen, the last one I had used to sit behind the rear view mirror so it didn't restrict my view and was hidden from outside by the tinted sunstrip at the top of the screen. Worked really well

I got one similar to Derek's and it sits up in the roof, under the headlining , once I get to fit it
Reception is tolerable, its only an FM radio, but I didn't want fat cables and holes in wings.

Interesting, I will be fitting a DAB radio at some point so good info on hidden aerials and adaptors to use the original Mopar antenna which might be the route I take.
I see one of those aerials Rebel has linked is pretty much a flat panel, I wonder how well that might work if you fitted it under a sun visor for a fully hidden look?

just remember the hole on a mopar for an aerial is an american sized hole and the base of a euro antenna will just fall through

I'll take Mopar sound any time with no aerial

Although I have aerial and radio (original) in mine, never switched on (I think radio has a problem though)

all my trucks have the mag mounts they work well, i put the internal windscreen mounted type on my RV, it was useless, so put the type where you stick it on the outside of screen, which was better but not as good as the mag mount

blue, avoid the pure hiway system which piggy back on your original radio, I had one and replaced it with a £130 JVC unit job sorted
