Give it a go.

There's a wide rubber o ring that holds the pushrods into the master cylinder. Clamp the pushrod in a vice and prise it apart. Refitting it, rubber fits into the master cyl, bit of lube on the pushrod and force it in......

It just pulls out. There's a rubber o ring on the end of the rod that stops it coming out without using some force.

Back to the boring stuff and more wiring this evening, need to remove the dash and pretty much start again with the wiring, such is the state of the hack or wiring.
Removed the HUGE old radio - Its Massive LOL Will keep this in a safe place, but can't see how to pull the rest of the dash out.

Undone the screws at the top and bottom on dash, and its all loose now ... Any hints/tips for next step welcome ?

If its anything like the A bodies you have to drop the steering column by a couple of inches to get the cluster out.

Have no idea if thats what you need to do on a Gen 3 though!! :thumbright: :-k

Yes I forget about that, you do have to drop the column...can't remember if there's anything else it's been three years since I took my dash out.

Drop the column a touch as said. Also need to detach the heater controls and plug too. Remove gently leaning it 45 degrees towards you and then you can unplug the various bulbs etc on back of dash. Might also fine the speedo cable holding it. Ensure it has some free play by pulling the outer cable thru the bulkhead a bit.

First outing of the year, few teething problems still to iron out, but determined to use it each year else the danger of it being a permanent feature in the garage.
