Recommended by my windscreen guy, it’s non setting. I apply it around the trim and you can wipe it off trim, paint, glass for a really neat finish and it seals.

I might try that, I am struggling with the rear screen at the moment and I bought an expensive sealant which is proving hard to work with.

Thanks Blue, several people recommend Tiger Seal in preference to silicone. The problem I found with Tiger Seal is it skins over quite fast if you’ve faffed about removing masking tape, and whatever is left in the tube after a day or so will be impossible to get out of the tube.

I have not used masking tape, I have been doing it freehand, with a quick mop up of any overspill with either Acetone or Brake Cleaner - but either way, you have to work fast!!

Do you use water or a solvent to wipe it off? or just lick your finger?

I used masking tape mainly because i thought the vinyl roof would make it difficult to get a clean edge.

Just paper towel to get it off and to smooth it. Because it’s non setting you can go back to it anytime if you notice a bit you’ve missed.

Here is my Freehand effort at sealing the Vinyl roof to the trim, the trim to the Glass, etc, etc....

I have found the 'Cuda window shape inherently more difficult than the "B" body arrangement (such as my Super Bee) as the curvature and the generally poor fit of the trims have proved challenging.

..and finally the 'Cuda is water-tight!

This sealant does not remain flexible and does cure, so you have to work quickly.
We shall see how this holds up in the longer term.

Do you think that seam in the vinyl could be a place where water's getting through? It's only a short length but like our rear lights, it doesn't take much

Actually Rob it was leaking everywhere, the previous owner(s) did not do a correct job; so I had to dig all the old stuff out and start again....

When we fitted the windscreen we used Arbomast in the body to rubber channel and in the glass channel. It makes a mess but it cleans up fine once you’ve finished the job.

I’ve ordered some of the recommended by Blue goop, in the vain hope of sorting out my rear windscreen and lights.

On another subject, had cause to remove the inlet recently.
Before I re-install with a new 'bathtub' gasket, can someone please clarify something...

I received a new Intake Gasket (bathtub) Set, Fel Pro 1215.

I’m a little confused because it says it suits B And RB engines. Now if an intake manifold is not interchangeable between 383 & 440, how can the bathtub gasket work for both?
I would have thought the inlet ports would be further apart on an RB?
Just thought I’d ask before opening the box.

Different valley pan gaskets between a 383 and a 440, Felpro 1215 is correct for a 440. I never use the paper gaskets in the kit just a thin smear of sealer where required.

Thanks Martin, that's what i thought.
Just surprised to see it lists:
361,383 (1959-60), 413 & 426 (except MW), 440 Eng.
As you say just a 'smear' around the ports and a bit more generous at each end and in the corners.
