Blimey there's me old goth girlfriend Gilly in there as well! takes me back a bit, all built in that single car lock up too. Pete, I was glad to see the back of that car, I'd had a gut full of it, I've never regretted selling it.

Even so Blue, it still looks as tough as a glass eating dog.
Looks like you did a really good job putting it together. What was wrong with it?

Wow, that is pretty serious stuff....especially in 1987, wish you still had that as well as the Dart (although you don't!

Yea this was pretty serious stuff back then, if I could have got it together a bit quicker it would have been the first Pro Street car in the UK, Barry Dacey beat me to that with his Vega. What was wrong with it? Where do I start, the aluminium interior and floor was so noisy it was ridiculous, the exhaust sounded like it ended at your ears! The spool and 14" wide slicks made low speed maneuverability almost non existent, impossible to park the thing. The 5.12 gears were insane, as was the noise from the gear drive and 7MPG gets old real quick. Twin line Milodon oiling system had to be primed every time if the car hadn't been run for a day or two. I didn't have street Tyre's for it, fixed side windows were a pain. None of this couldn't have been fixed with a chunk of time and money, it was really an all out race car which I just couldn't afford but after 3 years of throwing every thing at it I'd really had enough and wanted to start again with something more usable. A friend of a friend wanted to buy it so I let it go, he drove it 7 miles home, parked it in the garage and it hasn't moved since, I would imagine it looks in a pretty sad state by now...
