I did a thing
With the help of a brilliant guy near Seattle, we used a genuine old dealer plate from near where the car was made to come up with these frames for my new states plates.
Need some better bolts to hold them to my mock up brackets, but I’m happy with the test fit.
My tribute.
Had some slightly different ones made for the Barracuda too, based on a different style well known plate surround…

24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? I think not…

Nice one
Re: I did a thing
Like it, look a bit better if you can tuck the front one up a bit closer to the bumper IMO.

Re: I did a thing
Thank you.
It’s still something I’m toying with, Blue. I agree when you look at it from that angle low down, but when you are at standing level it’s quite tucked under the car, so might hide the top too much if I move it up more. Certainly worth a test fit further up to see though.
I also had these done for the Barracuda, based on the original Glendale plates. All I need to do now is make it go fast to make the plates make sense.
I really like the reflective lettering and the detail in the background.

Re: I did a thing
Funnily enough, I was reading that exact thread the other day!
That’s the bracket arrangement I have on the front, but it means the bolt holes are at the bottom, not the top where they should be, so there’s some Heath Robinson jiggery-pokery going on behind mine.
Just got my security bolt kit in the post today, so will try and fit better tomorrow. In the meantime, I did manage to fix my speedo.
