Opel Kadett C on steroids is the easiest explanation. Its a bit bigger, more Cortina sized.

Not the same model as mine, but another Torana has popped up in the UK that will be at auction for alot of money.
I suspect Australia will be its final destination.
And it is REGISTERED in 1979 before the endless arguments start!

That seems to be a very rare car Matt. I had no idea they were so desirable and potentially expensive.
