Adjustable leaf shackles E body
Need to raise the back end maybe an inch or so for tyre clearance on arch lips. Any of the regular US vendors here likely to have a kit , Or is it stateside, import duties , shipping PIA etc.

i know it's more money but a set of 'mopar' ss leaf springs will do the job. summit sell them in both poundages, hard or very hard they did the job on my 68 valiant. also had you considered rolling the arches? i did that too with a cheap ebay arch rolling tool and fit a 295 wide tyre under the arches with no rubbing or spring relocation or inner arch mods.

Or you can just get your existing springs re-arched.

Thanks both, my springs are inboarded 3 " and I think are superstock ones ( Car came with them). Annoyingly and typical mopar one side clears by a fag paper, its the other that's a problem. The wheel arch machine is a no go as ebodies have the st steel trim around the arches. Grinding a fillet out is a possibilty but not ideal. Raising the rear end is the probably the best course of action - its a Dana 60. On the 8.5rims the tyres would rub on the inside of the wheel arch and always looked liked they ballooned. Now with 10" they look right and don't rub the inside but hit the lip on one side. 325x50 x15 with 4.87 backspace.

you could always fit a panhard bar to centre the axle between the arches. also one other thing we've done, on a mates 70 coronet we porta powered the arches out slightly. we pushed off of the chassis rail against a bit of timber just above the arch lip inside the 'tub'. we didn't cut the arch lips, we didn't need to.

Thanks Neil, I think the other side is so far out the best option at the moment is re aching the springs and maybe adding an additionall one to give it extra lift ?

Looks to me like it’s sitting low for super stock springs. Count how many leaves it has on the front section, from memory 3800lb super stock springs have about 8 leaves on the front section.

2 things..... 1, the reason i mentioned a panhard bar is i've had cars with very small arch/tyre gaps that don't rub on big dips on a straight road but do rub when cornering and.... 2, from the pics you'd easily get 1/4" off the arch lip and stainless trim for more clearance. back to the screw heads at least. that could be all you need.

I'm needing a good inch at least ,need to get a firm measurement of lift to clear the arch. So re arching springs or Caltracs are options? , looking for guidance really - as I am looking to improve my ETS. Got some skinnies now for the front and ordered front runner tyres.
As it stands there is no suspension so existing springs are U/S
Neil - grinding for me is a last resort really , it's too nice to cut so have to explore all options. The panhead bar is worth looking into but I still fear grinding would be required. I'd maybe prefer to shrink the axle if I had to.

From what I can see those aren’t super stock springs, or at least not the right poundage for the car. New super stock springs with long KYB shocks is the cheapest fix IMO. Caltrac monoleafs only come in stock or lower ride height so that’s not going to work for you.

I agree that they are not SS Springs.
I have the old set of Standard (I think uprated over Barracuda standard as it was a 'Cuda) Springs from my 'Cuda after I put new SS ones and longer shocks on.
Maybe you could take some leaves from them and add to your existing springs?
I also have a Rear ARB I took off when I removed the original springs.

Caltracs are available as standard or low profile. Low profile means the brackets don't sit as low so it gives you more ground clearance. Caltrac monoleaf springs are available in +1", standard, -1",-2" and -3". +1" would raise the body 1" higher than a standard spring. Ok so some more pictures to help my decision going forward.
Pete - thanks for the input and the kind offer to cannabalise your old springs. As mine are knackered I'm thinking the route forward is to replace with new as per Jon's suggestion. My goal with starting all this off with ally wheels was to reduce weight ( and rolling resistance re fronts). I don't know much about caltracs except a lot in NSS use them. So weight is in an additional issue in my decision making. The superstock springs look heavier (don't know) than what I have at the moment. Not sure about Caltracs - understand principle how they work but how heavy and if they will solve my tyre clearence.
So some pics ;
1. wheel that fits by a fag paper (would have to go up). I know it shows it in the air but this is the same as if it were off the jacks and on the floor - hence no suspension
2. Corresponding wheel showing mirrored measurement - 1 and half inch to top of tyre.
3. Springs inboarded - front
4.Existing leaf mount rear
5.Old leaf mount position
6. Drag shocks on car
Let me know if any more measurements needed.
