I made a vector image of a gasket once

I scanned the gasket in 3 parts
knitted the images together into 1 big gaskets sized image and cropped out the gasket

converted it to black and white
cleaned up the edges in paint at pixel level i.e just zoom in and fill in the missing dots

used a website to turn it to vector graphic

sent it to the gasket cutter and he said ah its a bit complicated and he never got back to me

a proper 3d part is much harder

if you can build it in some cad program crealty slicer or similar will convert it from a solid into vector based STL file for 3d printing.

depends what you want to do

i usually just get my son to do it

I've got Autocad which produces vectorized images. Is that any good?

Thanks Gents

I have to provide a sign company with Vectorised Graphics to get vinyl decals produced for the car.

My photoshop design is nowhere near good enough quality and they have said to avoid pixelation they will need it in. Vector format.

Not something I can do, so was hoping someone may be able to help it point me in the right direction.

Don’t want to get it wrong or it will look Bananarama!!

Sounds like you need Adobe Illustrator, that uses vectors for graphics. Unfortunately I don't have a copy.

I'm sure you could use Photoshop, save it as a large image.

Aha, cheers. 👍 Might be worth a look at some point!

I’ll check if I have access to Illustrator with my Photoshop deal, I never really realised that’s what it was.

Found out I can get a free 7 day trial of Illustrator, then cancel without charge. :thumbright:

As long as it isn't too complex to use, I will give it a go and see if I can do it myself.

Cheers All. :salute:
