I have been looking for a left hand wheel stud, I found this in a spares box, it looks like a disc brake stud with the extra collar length for the rotor thickness, would anyone be able to say if it is? I’m hoping I’m wrong as I need one for the rear hub drum brake set up.

Yes that’s for a disc brake, the rear studs don’t have that long shank.

Thanks Blue, In the long run I will change the left hand studs over, but I just want to get them all the same on this side at the moment, as the car will probably have at least one inspection when it goes to Australia so I want to prevent confusion and someone accidentally sheering a stud because of the solitary RHD stud on the LH side, .
Using the Dorman product list I believe I've identified the correct stud size, I initially found someone in the States selling LH ones NOS at $2.75 each on the bay, bargain, except shipping was $169! But thankfully someone in Aus was selling a pack of 5 NOS at £28 incl shipping, thank god for those Aussie Valiants.
A couple of the original steels had dented beads and I'm not keen on the banding route, so I've bitten the bullet and bought 15" Cragar rims from Summit, I am keeping it mild with Vitour R1 215/60 on the front and 235/60 rear, I think there will be room for wider and nicer options down the track but this gets me moving forward. I think I might possibly need to look at the rear springs, they look pretty flat and I wouldnt mind just an inch of lift, I might see if I can get them rebuilt in the UK with a re arched top leaf and new lower leafs.

You can get the springs retempered easily enough. Last time I had some done, I used Midlands Springs, but sure there will be someone near you.

Thanks Stu, I was going to call Midland, what was the process with them, take the car to them so they could get measurements with load or just take the springs? I have been looking at options from the States, but I would like to be able to talk through what height increase I want.

Just took the springs and the specs, they did the rest.

That was just to retemper to original spec, though, not raise up.
