US AUTOMOTIVE (BEDFORD)

Post by Stu Twin »

In case anyone is interested, my 'local' (ish) parts supplier for US spares recently advised that there will soon be a major change their business.
I just received an email (below) that confirms this.
It doesn't say whether the shop will still be open though...

Dear customer,

We’re writing to share an important update regarding US Automotive.

As of Tuesday 7th April, USAutomotive has entered into an agreement to be acquired by Topspeed Automotive.

For 28 years, USAutomotive has supported American vehicle enthusiasts, restorers, and racers with quality parts and specialist knowledge. This acquisition marks the next stage in the company’s journey.

We want to reassure you that there will be no disruption to service during the transition. You can continue to order as usual, and over time you will benefit from an expanded range of products, improved availability, and increased capabilities as part of a larger organisation.

We’d like to thank you for your continued support, it has been a key part of the company’s success to date.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Telephone: 01234 273155

Thank you for being a valued US Automotive customer.

Best regards,
The US Automotive Team.

Thanks. On facebook they said:

"USAutomotive has closed its Bedford premises but this isn't goodbye. We're busy behind the scenes preparing something exciting that will protect the future of USAutomotive and bring you an even better experience..." yadda yadda

But yes, for now, the shop looks to be closed until further notice.

I used John Woolfe a couple of times last year for the same reason, I can pop in there after work on a friday.
You have to know what you want though otherwise they just look in a catalog. And what we want isn't always that straight forward.
