Thanks Miles. It doesn't always do it, and it'll usually clear if I blip the throttle, which makes me wonder if something's sticking in the carb?
I'm worried it's what killed my afr sensor and it might do it again!
I think I set the idle with the vac gauge following Dave Rob's technique, but it was a while ago!

As I'm off the road for several weeks I've decided to strip out the front shock rods and send them off for rechroming. It'll be a challenge on one leg but it's nothing that's gonna stop me tinkering

So when I set up the front struts and corrected the trail, etc, the rear lower control arms were slightly too long. They adjusted correctly but with no room for jam nuts on the rod ends- not ideal!
The tubes are different lengths o'course due to my asymmetrical steering set up...
Todays task is to grind out the welds and remove the threaded inserts, then cut the tube down by 1/2".
I'll tack the inserts in but I'll take them to my mate Dan for professional welding, being such a critical part an'all!

Control arms done, I welded them myself in the end due to impatience.
I started on the feeble rear indicators. I tried out 2 different LED bulbs with resistors. These were even more feeble!
I've had competing advice- do the reflector surface in gloss white paint or chrome tape.
I'll try one of each and compare.

So, I've bit the bullet and posted my front strut rods to Philpots for repair.
It's currently a 2-week turnaround, about £180 all-in

I was thinking of LED rear lights for my belvedere, but they didn't seem to work with the rear indicators, have you got it to work?? I have the standard red blinking indicators.
I also found them to be dimmer!
In my alfa I managed to get red LED bulbs for the brake lights which helped quite a bit for brightness...
Some LED bulbs don't like flasher units??

LEDs have no resistance for the flasher to work so you need a resistor like the one in my photo. They're still crap tho

You know I like a challenge

.
Will- ta mate. Sometimes it works, sometimes not...
Correct Blue

I bought it in March! Unfortunately I'm sure the bloody friction plate is wrong. It's a full organic and I'm sure I ordered an organic/ ceramic same as Ades. I lost my original order when my laptop died and there's no paper copy so I have some checking to do
